Tart with cherries and vanilla cream - a fantastic combination of flavors... short dough, vanilla cream, slightly gelled cherries...

Ingredients for the dough:

  • 300 gr. flour
  • half a baking powder
  • 100 gr. powdered sugar
  • a pinch of salt
  • 150 gr. margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 2 spoons of milk
  • a teaspoon of vanilla extract

Ingredients for the vanilla filling:

  • 1 vanilla pudding
  • 400 ml. milk
  • 5 spoon of sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 50 gr. margarine

Ingredients for cherry filling

  • 250 gr. cherries
  • 5 gr. gelatin (half a bag)
  • 100 gr. sugar
  1. Beat margarine, sugar and egg well, add milk and flour mixed with baking powder, vanilla extract, then mix everything well.
  2. Leave the dough in the refrigerator for 1 hour. After that, roll out the crust and transfer it to a round tray, the edges should be about 1,5 cm high.
  3. Prick the crust with a fork.
  4. Bake at 180 degrees for about 15 minutes.
  5. Bring the milk and sugar to a boil, then reduce the heat and pour in a thin stream the whipped pudding with egg yolks and a little milk.
  6. When the filling has cooled, mix it with margarine and file the crust.
  7. Finally, cover everything with the cherry filling: pour two tablespoons of water over the gelatin and wait for it to swell, then boil it and pour it into the cherries that you boiled briefly with sugar.
  8. Leave the tart in the fridge to cool before serving.
Instead of cherries, you can use any fruit you like...
