  • 1/2 kg of flour
  • 3 eggs
  • so
  • Filling:
  • plum jam
  • 200 g of ground walnuts
  • sugar
  1. In a suitable container, mix flour, eggs, a pinch of salt, and gradually add water to knead a compact dough.
  2. Then transfer the dough to a floured work surface and knead until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  3. Cover the dough with a kitchen towel and let it rest for about 15 minutes.
  4. On the work surface, use a rolling pin to roll out the dough into a large circle 2 mm thick.
  5. Place piles of jam at equal intervals on half of the circle, then cover with the other half of the dough.
  6. Put a pile of jam in between, flatten the dough with your fingers and cut equal pieces with a spatula.
  7. Cook in salted water until they float to the surface.
  8. Remove with a slotted spoon in cold water, drain and cover with a spoonful of oil.
  9. Sprinkle the cakes with a mixture of sugar and ground walnuts. Serve on a shallow tray and garnish with walnut halves.
