Throughout history, the Serbs were considered a proud and brave people who managed to cheat hunger in various ways, the proof of that is a wedge of broth, or how to make something out of nothing.

Klin soup, a dish of cult status was passed down from generation to generation, from one wartime generation to another as a legacy. There is a well-known story about this dish, when a soldier arrives dead hungry at a grandmother who lived in poverty, asking her to eat anything.

She told him that she had nothing, so that he would then pull a nail out of the wall, ask for some water, salt, fat, flour and onion, and cook a soup out of it. We bring you a slightly modified recipe, adapted to today's pocket and suitable for the upcoming winter days.
