baby first birthday it is a big day for the baby and the whole family, and especially for young parents, who try to celebrate it as solemnly as possible. If your child's first birthday is approaching, I'm sure you have a list of everything you have to prepare, almost like for a wedding. You need to decide whether you will celebrate at home or in a playroom/restaurant, who you will invite, what food you will serve. Of course, there is one more big decision – the birthday cake! It's not just any birthday cake, but one of the most important in life - and it's the first!

Which cake to choose? If we assume that you are gathering a large number of guests for the baby's first birthday, you will need at least two cakes. A slice of cake should weigh from 120 to 150g, so an average 2kg cake is enough for 16 servings, say experienced cake masters in Novi Sad.

Whether you make them yourself or have them ordered, if you choose flavors that most people like, you won't go wrong. I suggest you a creamy Nestle cake and, in the opinion of many, the best cake of all time – Reforma!

Nestle cake

Crust: 18 egg whites, 18 spoons of sugar, 15 spoons of ground walnuts, 6 spoons of flour.

Mix the listed ingredients and divide the resulting mixture into three parts, of which you will bake three crusts at 180 degrees. Coat the cooled crusts with 100g of melted dark chocolate.

Filling I: 18 egg yolks, 10 spoons of flour, 1 liter of milk, 10 spoons of sugar, 1 margarine, 250g of powdered sugar, 200g of nesquik

Beat the egg yolks with flour and a little milk separated from 1l. Pour the rest of the milk into a bowl, add sugar and bring to a boil. When it boils, cook the mixture with the egg yolks as a pudding. Cook until the filling becomes thick. When the filling has completely cooled, add the margarine whipped to a foam with powdered sugar and Nesquik.

Fill II: beat 300g of whipped cream with sour water. Whipping whipped cream with sour water will give the whipped cream firmness, and it is also suitable for filling and decoration. This method of preparation is used by many cake masters in Novi Sad.

The filling procedure is as follows: crust, first filling, second filling, crust, first filling, second filling, crust. Then cover the cake with the remaining amount of filling and whipped cream. Decorate the finished cake as desired. A wide variety of cake decorations are available in the form of figurines, pictures, flowers, numbers, glitter, etc.

The Nestle cake made according to the stated measurements "turned out" perfectly for me. It is extremely tall and generous, has a wonderful aroma of nesquik and has an excellent taste. It was eaten in record time, which is the biggest compliment for me, because I know it was fantastic.

Cake reform

Crust: 10 egg whites, 300g of ground walnuts, 300g of sugar, 2 tablespoons of flour

Beat egg whites with sugar until stiff, then add nuts and flour. Divide the resulting mixture into four to five parts, then bake the crusts at 180 degrees in a preheated oven.

Filling: 10 egg yolks, 100g of dark chocolate, 200g of sugar, 250g of margarine, three tablespoons of brewed black coffee

Beat egg yolks with sugar, and when they start to thicken, add dark chocolate. Cook until the chocolate is melted and combined with the egg yolks. Add the coffee and leave the filling to cool. When it is completely cold, add the foamy margarine.

The process of filling the Reforma cake is simple, since it has only one type of filling. So, layer the crusts and filling until you run out, but leave some of the filling to "plaster" the outside of the cake.

When it comes to decoration, the best cake masters and cakes in Novi Sad advise to make a solid and stable cake, which will be able to "carry" all the decorations you put on it. Cake decorations when it comes to the first birthday must contain the indispensable number 1 as a candle, and other cake decorations depend on your taste.

Baby cake

Party cakes have been designed, but what about the little birthday boy? I know that twelve-month-old babies do not eat classic cakes, because refined sugars are avoided in their diet. However, this is no reason not to make a completely natural cake for the baby, which his body will be able to use for proper growth and development. For this special occasion, I suggest you opt for Cheesecake, a popular Cheesecake.

Baby Cheesecake

Crust: 250g of home-made integral biscuits, 100g of melted butter, a spoonful of honey, a pinch of cinnamon.

Grind the homemade integral biscuit and add all the other ingredients to it. Press the mixture into a mold lined with baking paper and bake at 180 degrees for ten minutes. Remove the crust and leave to cool slightly.

Filling: 400g of fresh cheese, 200g of cream cheese, 7 spoons of honey, two eggs.

Beat fresh cheese with cream cheese and honey with a mixer. Add the eggs one at a time. You will get a relatively rare yellowish filling. Pour it on the baked crust and bake in the oven at 170 degrees for 35 minutes. When the filling is baked, take the cake out of the oven, let it cool for ten minutes, and then apply the topping.

Topping: beat two sour creams with 3 spoons of honey.

Once you've topped the cake, put it back in the oven to bake for another ten minutes, then take it out, let it cool completely at room temperature, then leave it in the fridge overnight. Garnish with fresh fruit.

I suggest serving Baby Cheesecake to all the children present as a healthier alternative to cake. I made homemade biscuits for babies according to a very simple recipe of 200g of corn (you can also use whole wheat, buckwheat or spelled) flour, 100g of butter and a banana.

I am sure that the cake you choose for your child's first birthday will be perfect, whatever flavor and decoration you choose. Enjoy your special day filled with sweet tastes and best wishes.
