Tulumbe recipe from an old cookbook. Tried many times.
- 2,5 dl of water
- 2,5 dl of milk
- 1 cup oil
- 300 grams of flour
- 0,5 bag of baking powder
- 4 pieces of eggs
Syrup:
- 600 g of water
- 1 kg of sugar
- 1 piece of lemon juice
- 1 bag of vanilla sugar
For frying:
- oil (plenty)
- In a medium-sized bowl, combine the water, milk and oil. Heat at a higher temperature and let it boil. Reduce the temperature to medium. While mixing, slowly add flour and baking powder. Mix so that there are no lumps. Leave to cool.
- Beat the eggs. Add the beaten eggs to the previously cooled mass. Mix well, so that the mass is even.
- Pass the mass through a party press. Fry the prepared buns in a deep dish, with plenty of oil, until they get a golden brown color. Stack the finished buns in a deep bowl and cover with syrup. Serve chilled.
