Turkish scones – an interesting way of shaping scones.

Turkey scones, ingredients:

  • 1 kg of flour
  • 50 g of fresh yeast
  • 500 ml of lukewarm milk
  • 3 spoons of sour cream
  • 1 bag of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1 spoon of salt
  • 150 ml of oil
  • 1 egg yolk in the dough

To coat unbaked scones:

  • 1 egg white

For sprinkling scones:

  • 1 spoons of sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon of churekot

To coat the developed scones:

  • 125 g butter

Turkish scones, preparation:

  • Place 500 g of flour in a bowl, make an indentation, then add crushed yeast, sugar, salt, baking powder, sour cream and oil.
  • Mix it all with lukewarm milk, add the remaining flour and knead a fine, smooth dough.
  • Leave the dough to rise.
  • Divide the dough into balls.
  • Let the balls rise.
  • Roll each ball into an ellipse and coat with a little softened butter.
  • Cut the dough into strips and twist, coat with unbeaten egg white, sprinkle with sesame and churekot.
  • Bake for 30 minutes at 180 degrees.
  • Pleasant!

Note: cream margarine can be used instead of butter and can be filled with cheese.
