Easter flower cake.

Easter flower cake, ingredients:

For the dough:

  • 2 dcl of water
  • 2 dcl of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 25 g of fresh yeast
  • 1/2 dcl of oil
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • 800 g of flour
  • 2 spoons of density

To coat:

  • 50 g of butter or margarine
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoons of oil

Easter flower cake, preparation:

  1. Put sugar, yeast and 1 tablespoon of flour in warm water and milk, let it stand for 5-6 minutes.
  2. Beat 1 egg, add oil, salt and water and milk with yeast. Add flour and knead the dough, make it and let it rise.
  3. Shape the dough into a ball and roll it out to a diameter of 21 cm, place it in a pan with a diameter of 32 cm previously lined with paper.
  4. Use a mold or glass with a diameter of 7 cm to take out 5 circles of dough. Join the circles into one ball, make the dough and add little by little 2 tablespoons of thickening until it is mixed into the dough. This part of the dough for the petals is firmer than the scone base.
  5. Divide the prepared dough into 10 parts, roll into smaller circles, join 2 by 2 circles previously coated with melted butter. Now we have 5 circles of dough that we roll into a circle with a diameter of 16 cm, cut each circle into 8 triangles. Make a small cut inside each triangle.
  6. Form a ball from 1 triangle and roll it in melted butter and then in poppy seeds or black cumin (this is the middle of the flower).
  7. We are left with 7 triangles of dough, pass the top through the cut part and arrange around the removed circle on the cake. Before arranging the petals, coat the cake with melted butter. Place the ball of dough that we previously made and rolled into a poppy seed in the middle of the arranged flower petals.
  8. So, from the remaining dough, make 4 more flowers like this on the cake.
  9. Beat 1 egg yolk with 1 tablespoon of oil and spread the flower petals on the cake. Leave the cake to stand for 30 minutes and bake at 170 degrees for about 30 minutes. Towards the end of baking, so that the petals do not burn, put baking paper on top and finish the cake.
