Easter braid - delight all your loved ones with a wonderful braid for the holiday.

TEXT:

  • 500 g of soft flour
  • 2,5 dl of warm milk
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 30 g of fresh yeast
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of oil

SPREAD:

  • 50 g of liquid margarine
  • 1 egg
  1. Put sugar and yeast in warm milk and wait for it to rise.
  2. Add salt, oil and sour yeast to the flour and knead a soft dough that does not stick to your hands.
  3. Cover it with a clean cloth and leave it in a warm place to soak.
  4. Knead the dough a little every 30 minutes and do it 3 times.
  5. When the dough has risen enough, doubled in volume, roll it out into a thin rectangle.
  6. Spread the melted dough with liquid margarine and roll it up.
  7. Stretch the twisted roll a little more so that it is the same width and thickness everywhere. Fold the roll in half, grasp the lower and upper ends with your hands and twist in the opposite direction as when wringing out laundry.
  8. You will get a twisted braid, put it in a greased tray and let it soak for about 1 hour.
  9. Coat the braid with egg and bake it at 200 degrees until golden brown.
  10. I first baked for 15 minutes at 200 degrees, reduced it to 150 and baked for another 15 minutes.
Prepare it just before lunch, cool it a little wrapped in a clean kitchen towel and serve.
