Uštipci for the bride - in my area (surroundings of Prizren), ushtipci are prepared for the bride on her first day in her new home.
ingredients:
- 500 grams of flour
- 2 pieces of eggs
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 15 grams of yeast
- 700 milliliters of water (lukewarm)
- oil for frying
Sherbet:
- 2 dl of water
- 2 spoons of sugar
- 1 slice of lemon
- sir
<strong>Preparation: </strong>
- Sift flour and mix with salt, crumble yeast and add eggs. At the end, slowly pour lukewarm water and stir with a blender. The dough (porridge) should be mixed with a whisk (like when you beat eggs by hand), to make balls and create bubbles. Let the dough rest for half an hour. Take out the dough with a spoon and pour it into the hot oil, turning it on both sides to brown it. Remove on a napkin to absorb excess fat.
- Mix the water and sugar to dissolve the sugar. Add a slice of lemon and serve with the wedges. Serve the skewers in a round pan and in the middle a bowl with sorbet.
- Cheese is a must.
