Vanilla cake with strawberries.

for the crust:

  • 6 pieces of egg whites
  • 6 spoons of sugar
  • 5 spoons of flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 150 ml milk

for the strawberry filling:

  • 500 g of strawberries ((peeled))
  • 200 g of sugar
  • 2 bags of strawberry pudding
  • 1 spoon of density
  • 300 ml of water

for the vanilla filling:

  • 6 pieces of egg yolks
  • 7 spoons of sugar
  • 750 ml milk
  • 1 bag of vanilla pudding
  • 4 tablespoons of density
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla sugar
  • 250 g butter (or margarine)

and more:

  • 18 pieces of petit biscuits ((about 150g))
  • 100 g of vanilla whipped cream
  • 200 ml milk
  1. Beat the egg whites and sugar until stiff. Add flour and baking powder, mix gently with a whisk and pour into a pan (35×25), greased or lined with baking paper. Bake for about 15 minutes in an oven heated to 180 C.

  2. Take out the baked crust, when it cools down, remove the paper and put it on a tray. Pour over cold milk.

  3. Blend the strawberries (so that small pieces remain). Cook them with sugar for about 5 minutes, then add 250 ml of water and cook until it boils.

  4. Mix the pudding with 50 ml of water, pour into the strawberries and cook until it thickens. When it cools down and hardens a little, pour it over the crust (or use a rimmed baking sheet that you remove when the fillings harden).

  5. Place a row of biscuits over the strawberry filling while it is still warm.

  6. Beat egg yolks with sugar and vanilla sugar, add a little milk, pudding and thickening. Heat the remaining milk, add the whipped mixture and cook until it thickens. Cool well and mix with whipped margarine or butter. Spread the vanilla filling over the biscuits.

  7. Beat the custard with milk and decorate the cake.
