Purple cabbage stew - an interesting combination of purple cabbage, pumpkin, potatoes, carrots and spices...

  • 1 piece of onion (finely chopped)
  • 0,5 tsp turmeric (powder)
  • 0,5 tsp cumin (ground)
  • 300 g carrots (chopped into rings)
  • 300 g potatoes (diced)
  • 300 g of pumpkin (cut into cubes)
  • 300 g of purple cabbage (chopped into larger pieces)
  • 0,5 teaspoon coriander (dry leaf)
  • 3 pieces of dill (sprigs)
  • salt (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon of flour (any kind (I used chickpea flour))
  • hot pepper (to taste)
  1. This dish is prepared like most similar dishes.
  2. Fry the onion in hot oil, then add the spices, and then the chopped vegetables except the pumpkin.
  3. Pour water while cooking.
  4. After about 20 minutes, add pumpkin, coriander leaves, salt and hot pepper.
  5. Cook until the pumpkin is soft, then add flour mixed in 1,5 dl and chopped dill.
  6. Boil for another minute.

As for the spices, I also added garam masala, but it is optional.
