Veggie Burgers That Can Be Grilled – Veggie burgers are usually too delicate for the grill, but here's a way to make them so you can make vegetarians happy at a barbecue gathering.

  • 1 cup brown rice (cooked)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • olive oil
  • 0,5 head of onion (finely chopped)
  • so

  • 1,5 cups beans (cooked)
  • barbecue sauce
  • 0,5 cup flour (as needed)
  • 5 pieces of buns
  • 100 g of cheese (optional, grated)
  1. Cook the rice and beans, if you haven't already. Strain well and leave to cool and dry. You can also use canned beans.
  2. Fry the onion in a teaspoon of olive oil until it turns golden. Add a teaspoon of pepper and salt.
  3. Mix the breadcrumbs with the spices of your choice, such as chili, crushed pepper, cumin, parsley, etc.
  4. Strain the beans and mash most of them, leaving only a few pieces of whole beans in a deep bowl.
  5. To the beans, add the rice, breadcrumbs and onions and barbecue sauce. If the texture is too soft and sticky, add a little flour, if it is too thick, add another spoonful of sauce and stir with a blender to combine everything. Taste if it is spicy enough.
  6. Make 5 larger hamburgers from the mass, or 10 smaller ones.
  7. Heat the grill and oil it, or if you're making it in a pan, put one tablespoon of olive oil and wait for it to heat up, reduce it to medium heat and put the hamburgers, when they get colored, carefully turn them over and cook them on the other side.
  8. You can grate cheese and sprinkle it on top, put it in a bun. Serve with fries and salad.
