Cherry cake - Ljiljana Stanković
Cherry cake - cherries are ripe, so they should definitely be used in all forms.
For the crust:
- 4 egg yolks
- 200 g. sugar
- 1 glass of milk
- 1 cups of oil
- 200 g. flour
- 1 baking powder
- 2 spoons of cocoa
For the filling:
- 4 egg whites
- 200 g. sugar
- 100 g. ground walnuts
- 200 years peeled cherries
For the glaze
- 100 g of chocolate
- 50 years butter
- 2 3 spoons of milk
- Beat egg yolks with sugar, then add milk, oil, flour mixed with baking powder and cocoa and mix everything.
- Pour the mixture into a rectangular pan lined with parchment paper and bake at 180C until a crust forms (about 15-20 min.)
- Separately beat the egg whites until stiff, gradually add the sugar, whisking all the time until it melts.
- When the cake is half baked, take it out of the oven and coat it with the prepared mixture, return it to bake for another 20 minutes.
- Melt the chocolate with the butter in a steamer, add a little milk and mix everything well, and coat the cooled cake.
Any fruit can be used for this cake, the best is definitely seasonal.
