Wallachian pie with cheese - great pie!

  • 2,5 dl of carbonated water
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1 spoon of dry yeast
  • 0,5 dl oil
  • 1 piece of egg
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 500 g of flour

Also required:

  • 300 g cheese (full-fat, in slices)
  • 1 dl oil

To coat:

  • 1 piece of yolk
  • 1 tablespoons of oil
  • sesame (seeds)
  1. Put yeast and sugar in lukewarm carbonated water for 3 minutes, add salt, oil, 1 egg and flour. Knead the dough, make it and let it rise for 30 minutes.
    When it rises, divide the dough into 12 parts and form into balls.
    Put 1 dcl of oil in a bowl, then place dough balls rolled in oil on all sides in that bowl.
    Let them stand for 10-15 minutes.
    Prepare a pan with a diameter of 30 cm.
    Take three balls of dough and thin them out with your hands and put them in the pan next to each other to cover the bottom of the pan.
    Grate the cheese over the stretched dough, then cover again with three thin dough balls. Do the process of stretching the dough and filling 4 times.

  2. When the pie is filled, fold the opposite sides towards the middle so that it looks like a letter and turn the pie so assembled upside down so that the folded part is at the bottom. Use your hands to press the dough from the center to the edges of the dough to thin it out and cover the pan. Coat with 1 tablespoon of oil, 1 egg yolk, sprinkle with sesame seeds, let stand for 10-15 minutes and bake at 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
