Belgrade, November 20, 2018. - Today, the World Week of Italian Cuisine was marked in an exceptional way in the METRO HoReCa Center. In cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Italy in Serbia and the METRO company, a special event was held in the HoReCa Center, called The Extraordinary Italian Taste. The event, intended for representatives of the catering sector in Serbia, was magnified by the famous Italian chef Eros Picco, who on this occasion prepared a presentation of outstanding Italian flavors within the concept three Italian chef's hats.

The week of Italian cuisine is celebrated in the middle of November, all over the world. This year, the Embassy of the Republic of Italy in Serbia and the METRO HoReCa Center decided to organize a special workshop, which would evoke traditional Italian flavors in a different way. As the person best qualified to answer this task, the famous Italian chef, winner of the Michelin star - Eros Pico, was invited as the guest of honor to give a practical presentation of the concept of the "three Italian chef's hats". The concept is synonymous with the presentation of three outstanding Italian dishes and wines. Chef Pico is globally recognized not only as a top culinary artist, but also as a true representative of what makes Italian cuisine unique and recognizable around the world.

His understanding of the distinctiveness of Italian quality in all areas of creation, he explained with the words: "We in Italy pay truly exceptional attention to what can best be described as 'craftsmanship'." If you want to create the best in the field you are dealing with, it is necessary to pay great attention to the materials you use for production," said boss Eros Pico. "When we talk about cooking, quality is especially reflected in the choice of food - freshness, variety and lack of unhealthy fats are the key to excellence, and this is also the 'secret' of Mediterranean cuisine," added Pico.

Visitors to the workshop at the HoReCa Center had a unique opportunity to learn about interesting reviews of traditional recipes of Italian cuisine, which were enriched with innovative Italian products, be it the way of their production or specific tastes that are not yet known in Serbia, as well as different suggestions for preparing and serving meals. The event also had a B2B part in which new Italian suppliers, who are not yet represented on the Serbian market, were presented.
