Belgrade, May 16, 2017 - METRO Cash & Carry Serbia, in its distribution center in Vidikovac, organized a culinary show today as part of "Asia Day". All present had the opportunity to get acquainted with the rich Asian culinary culture, while prominent chefs from this continent, with the support of professional chefs from the METRO HoReCa center, were in charge of preparing specialties from fresh ingredients from a carefully selected Asian assortment. Among others, the event was attended by the chef, personal chef of the Japanese ambassador in Belgrade, Haruki Morito.
METRO invites all those interested to visit the facilities in Zemun and Krnjača in the following days, starting at 11 a.m., and as part of culinary demonstrations, they will learn about the special ingredients of Asian specialties and experience a new gastronomic experience.
By the end of 2017, METRO will be the only one to offer more than 100 products from the Asian range on our market. Restaurants with Eastern cuisine can find all exclusive products for the preparation of specialties in one place.
The basic principle of Asian cooking is the maximum utilization of all ingredients, where spices play the most important role in determining the taste, smell and appearance of the dish. Rice, vegetables, seafood, seaweed, these are all necessary ingredients of Asian cuisine, where the main concept is respect for the harmony of flavors and colors, while serving is not left to chance, the main symbol is the triangle, as imagined three dimensions for beauty and stability.
