On the occasion of half a century since the release of the first episode about the favorite comic hero, Zagor, on our newsstands, organized by the Zrenjanin National Museum and the "Žarko Zrenjanin" City Public Library, on Friday, June 29, 2018, a series of interesting events will be held under the name "Zagor from our alley".

The gathering begins in the Library, at 16:30 p.m., with a Live Art workshop led by Miodrag Ivanović Mikica, a comic artist from Sombor, author of the licensed YU Veliki Blek, Ninja, and many episode covers, which will be led and during which he will draw live Gold Series Novi Sad's Dnevnik and Lun's Magnus Strip. The workshop is also attended by students whose works have been awarded at various comic contests, including Teodora Pavlov, winner of the first prize at this year's comic contest of the Cervantes Institute from Belgrade.

On that occasion, by exhibiting the best drawings, comic schools from Novi Sad, Pancevo, Kikinda, Valjevo, Kragujevac and Leskovac will be presented.

After the workshop, in the Small Salon of the National Museum of Zrenjanin, at 18 p.m., the opening of the exhibition will follow, which consists of a collection of drawings by a group of over eighty comic book authors from all republics and provinces Ex SFRY. Some of them are Bane Kerac, Sibin Slavković, Pavel Koza, Leonid Pilipović, Istok Sitar, Sabahudin Muranović, Igor Jovčevski and others, and Zrenjanin comic authors Stevan Subić, Vladan Nikolić and Branko Đukić are also included. The collection of drawings was created thanks to the idea of Miodrag Ivanović Mikica and the good will of cartoonists from this area in the last 4 years. Just as the famous "Golden Series" was published throughout the territory of the former SFRY, the collection of drawings also includes authors from all former republics and provinces. Original Italian panels and other collectible exhibits are part of the Andjelt collection, Andjel Svetozara from Zrenjanin.

The original comic boards of fourteen Italian authors such as Gallieno Ferri, Franco Donatelli, Francesco Gamba, Marco Torricelli make the exhibition particularly interesting and worth seeing... On this occasion, various rare "relics" from the world of comic collecting will be exhibited. The curator of the exhibition is Dušan Marinković.

At the opening of the exhibition, visitors will be given a free catalog that is also a one-off fanzine modeled after the first Italian fanzine dedicated to Zagor's universe. In addition to the drawings that will be exhibited in the Zrenjanin National Museum, the fanzine also contains four author's texts about Zagor and three short stories about this favorite Italian comic book hero, by the famous comic screenwriters, Svetozar Toza Obradović, Goran Skrobonja and Milko Pek, which are these stories wrote just for our fanzine.

The event was supported by "Regional Center for Talents", "Office for Youth" and Gomex company.
