Baked green beans - this recipe uses fresh green and yellow "pencil" green beans. Very quick and simple preparation, and with a good seasonal salad, a very tasty meal.
- 500 g green beans ("pencil")
- 500 g yellow green beans ("pencil")
- 2 red onions (sliced into rings)
- 1 clove of garlic (finely chopped)
- 1 teaspoon chives (spice)

- Heat the oven to 200-220 C.
- Coat a deep baking dish with olive oil.
- Wash the green beans well and remove only the tops of the pods. Drain well. Place green beans in a greased baking dish. Add the red onion sliced larger, or into rings, as well as finely chopped garlic. Add a teaspoon of chive seasoning. Drizzle everything with olive oil. Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Bake for about 30 minutes in the oven, until the onion is caramelized and the green beans are ready. Take care not to split the green beans. Serve on a large plate, with toasted homemade bread and a seasonal salad.
