Belgrade, April 25, 2017 - At the recently held prestigious national championship of catering workers in the Slovenska Plaža Tourist Resort in Budva, which is traditionally organized by the Association of Montenegrin Chefs, young talented Serbian chefs from the Junior Chefs Club achieved incredible success - winning one gold and three silver medals.
"Our young chefs have been winning the highest honors at national and international competitions for years, and they perform their demanding training in specific, highly professional and modern conditions, in which the METRO Cash & Carry company wholeheartedly helps them through its HoReCa center," said Uroš Urošević, manager of METRO HoReCa Center and added that the METRO company is always there to support young talented chefs, especially when it comes to the affirmation of the hospitality profession, new trends and the implementation of modern work techniques in this area.
To his rich collection of awards, one of the members of the awarded Serbian team, Filip Kovačević, added another gold medal in the category of preparation of the main dish, and in the same category, his colleague, Jovan Tomović, was the runner-up. The success is all the greater because these young chefs won another silver medal each for preparing a set menu in the senior category.
Jovan Tomović, who is also employed as a chef in the company METRO Cash & Carry Serbia, while still a student did an internship at the METRO HoReCa Center, where all other team members have been preparing for these very demanding culinary competitions for years.
