What frustrates my wife and I is that breakfast cereals are often – in fact, mostly – loaded with added sugar and therefore not ideal for starting the day. That's why my nutritionists and I came up with this delicious recipe - make a big batch to last you two weeks (or more!). – Jamie Oliver

Fantastic Muesli, Nut, Seed, Flake and Fruit Powder – You can use this fantastic megamix of great ingredients for a super quick and convenient breakfast, which is also extremely nutritious thanks to the nuts, seeds, flakes and fruit. (excerpt from the book Superfoods for Every Day, Jamie Oliver, Vulcan Publishing)

  • 1 kg of oatmeal
  • 250 g of nuts (unsalted: walnuts, Brazil nuts, hazelnuts, pecans, pistachios, cashews, etc.)
  • 100 g of seeds (mixed: chia, poppy, sunflower, sesame, flax, pumpkin)
  • 250 g of mixed dried fruit (blueberry, cranberry, sour cherry, mango, apricot, fig, sultana)
  • 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder (good quality)
  • 1 tablespoon of coffee (freshly ground)
  • 1 orange (large)
  1. Heat the oven to 180°C. Add the flakes, nuts and seeds to a large baking tray. Bake for 15 minutes, and mix everything halfway through. After that, add the dried fruit, cocoa and coffee, grate the orange peel very finely, and then, round by round, grind it in a multi-purpose food processor so that you get a coarser-grained powder, which you will transfer to a large jar with an airtight lid, so that it lasts as long as possible. .

  2. When it comes to serving, play around - the easiest way is to mix 50g of powder (per person) with cold cow's, goat's, soy, almond or oat milk or with 2 tablespoons of sour cream, as well as a handful of fresh fruit (a serving of 80 g, as one of the 5 daily servings of fruit or vegetables as many vegetables).
You can also make porridge from 50 g of cereal powder and 200 ml of milk, then put fresh fruit on top. You can also use this ratio for smoothies - I like to add 1 ripe banana and a handful of frozen raspberries. This powder can also be used for pancakes - make a batter of 2 tablespoons of cereal powder, 1 tablespoon of wholemeal flour with 1 pinch of baking powder, 1 mashed banana and 1 egg, then bake as usual. And in winter, try a warm drink - heat 200 ml of your favorite milk and 25 g of cereal powder to the desired consistency.
