Pastries in the form of bread.

Pastries in the form of bread, ingredients:

For the dough:

  • 250 ml of milk,
  • 300 g of flour,
  • 20 g of fresh yeast,
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar,
  • 1 teaspoon of salt,
  • 2 tablespoons of oil,
  • 1 tablespoon of butter.

To coat:

  • 1 egg yolk,
  • butter if needed.

Pastries in the form of bread, preparation:

  • Crumble the yeast and place in a deep container. Add sugar, lukewarm milk, salt, oil, flour and knead the dough.
  • Put 1 tablespoon of butter in the center of the dough, mix well and place in a bowl.
  • Cover with transparent cling film and leave to rise.
  • Transfer the resulting dough to a floured work surface and divide it into 3 parts.
  • Knead each part to form noodles.
  • Cover them with transparent cling film and let them rest for 5 minutes.
  • Take one noodle, roll it into a rectangle with a rolling pin and coat it with melted butter.
  • Fold first the left side of the dough, then the right side, then the upper side and finally fold the lower side of the dough and roll it up. Repeat the procedure with the remaining 2 noodles.
  • Cover them with transparent cling film and let them rest for 10 minutes.
  • Then roll them out again with a rolling pin into a rectangle.
  • Roll up and close the ends of the dough well.
  • Place all three rolls in a tray lined with parchment paper.
  • Cover with transparent cling film and leave to stand for 10 minutes.
  • Coat them with melted butter and cut them in several places with a sharp knife.
  • Leave to stand for 20 minutes.
  • During this time, turn on the oven and heat it to 250 degrees.
  • Beat the egg yolks with a fork and coat all three rolls.
  • Bake at 180 degrees for 20 minutes, then another 10 minutes at 200 degrees.
  • Remove the finished pastry from the oven, cover with a clean kitchen towel and leave to cool, then serve.
