Pie with poppy seeds and walnuts - an excellent lean pie.
- 2,5 dl of carbonated water
- 1 spoon of dry yeast
- 2,5 dcl of oil
- 2 spoons of sugar
- 500 g of flour
- 250 g poppy seeds (ground)
- 250 g of walnuts (ground)
- 250 g of powdered sugar
- 150 g of plum jam
- 150 g of apricot jam
To decorate the cake:
- apricot jam
- walnuts (ground)
- Put a tablespoon of dry yeast in 2 dcl of lukewarm carbonated water, let it stand for 5 minutes, add 5 tablespoons of sugar, 2 dcl of oil and flour.
Knead the dough, make it well and divide it into 3 parts.
Mix 250 g of ground poppy seeds with 125 g of powdered sugar.
Mix 250 g of ground walnuts with 125 g of powdered sugar.
Roll out one part of the dough and place it in a greased 20×35 cm baking mold, spread 150 g of plum jam over it and spread the mixture of ground poppy seeds and sugar.
Spread the second rolled crust on top, then spread it with apricot jam and sprinkle a mixture of ground walnuts and sugar on top.
Roll out the third crust and put it on top. Let it stand for 30 minutes, poke a toothpick to the bottom in a couple of places and bake at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes.
Turn the baked pie over on a tray so that the layer of ground poppy seeds is on top. Spread the still warm pie with apricot jam and sprinkle with ground walnuts.
