Wreath of apples and walnuts.
- 350 g of flour
- 40 g of butter
- 75 g of raisins
- 180 ml milk
- 5 grams of dry yeast
- 1 bag of vanilla sugar
- 70 g of sugar
- 100 g walnuts (finely chopped)
- 3 pieces of egg
- 2 spoons of semolina
- 1 spoonful of apricot jam
- 3 pieces of apple
- Put butter, milk and vanilla sugar in a saucepan on the stove. When the milk is heated and the butter melts, remove the saucepan from the stove. Add the yeast and stir until dissolved.
In a bowl with flour, add milk with melted butter and yeast. Add 40 g of sugar, 2 eggs, jam and raisins. Knead the dough by hand and let it rise for 30 minutes. - Peel the apples and grate them on a large grater. On a floured work surface, roll out the crust from the risen dough in the shape of a rectangle.
- Put the grated apples on it, sprinkle with semolina and the remaining sugar and chopped walnuts.
- Twist the phyllo crust into a roll. Join the ends of the rolls to form a wreath. Place in a pan lined with baking paper. At a distance of 5 cm, cut the wreath with scissors and let it grow for 30 minutes.
- Crack the remaining egg and separate the whites from the yolks. Beat the egg yolks with a fork and coat the wreath.
- Place the pan in the oven and bake for 45 minutes at 180 degrees. Serve the baked wreath on a plate and garnish with apple slices.
