AFA became a partner in the project "Gender Responsible Management - Redistribution of Unpaid Work" implemented by the Agency for Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment - UN Women Serbia in cooperation with the Coordinating Body for Gender Equality and with the support of the Government of the United Kingdom and the British Embassy.

At the global and local level, men dominate in the management of societies and are represented by the majority in management positions in all sectors of the economy in companies. On the other hand, women traditionally participate more in performing unpaid work such as taking care of children and the home. In fact, women perform three times more of these jobs than men, creating a value estimated at 10 trillion dollars, what is 3 times more from the profits of all technology companies. However, there are numerous studies that show that societies in which both parents are equally involved in the creation of economic and social value are actually the most progressive societies. Also, countries where women are leaders have responded most successfully to the pandemic and are more energetic in solving economic and social challenges. In addition, by equally involving both parents in raising children, more successful future generations are created, while at the same time women are enabled to have more free time for training, professional advancement and social engagement.

Precisely because of all the above, AFA as a project partner "Gender Responsible Management - Redistribution of Unpaid Work" which implements Agency for Gender Equality and Empowerment of Women - UN Women Serbia in cooperation with the Coordinating Body for Gender Equality and with the support of the Government of the United Kingdom and the British Embassy aims to through the project "Play with Daddy" raise awareness among men about the importance of their greater involvement in child and family care. The goal of the project is to create a community of fathers in Serbia that will motivate other fathers to get equally involved in the development and upbringing of children as well as in household care. In this way, fathers would directly contribute to women becoming more involved in the development of society and the economy and participating in the creation of the digital future. In order to raise awareness of the importance of this topic, in the following two months AFA all for all will to organize a series of online panels with the aim of contributing to this important topic receiving the attention of society and the publicity it deserves. The first in a series of eight online panel discussion was held on Monday, July 20, and you can find out about the online sessions every following week at http://afa.co.rs

During yesterday's online panel discussion, as part of a series of conversations about the importance of equal involvement of fathers in the care of children and the family, the interlocutors agreed that the countries where there is equal participation of both sexes in the development of the economy and society are the most prosperous.

Time, as the most valuable resource of which there is less and less, is precious, especially for women, considering that they perform 3 times more unpaid work and consequently have less time available for networking, training, career development and thus indirectly the development of society. The situation is even more difficult in today's digital society, bearing in mind that every second woman in Serbia is basically digitally illiterate and that it is necessary to provide free time and infrastructure for their training and thereby enable them to actively participate in the creation of the future digital society.
