Antique horseshoes with walnuts, ingredients:
For the mixture:
- 300 g of flour,
- 100 g of ground walnuts,
- 80 g of powdered sugar,
- 200 g of margarine,
- 2 bags of vanilla sugar,
- 1 egg white.
For rolling:
- if necessary, powdered sugar
Antique horseshoes with walnuts, preparation:
- Pour flour into a deep bowl, add ground walnuts, powdered sugar and mix.
- Then add margarine (room temperature), vanilla sugar and mix by hand.
- Add egg whites, then combine all ingredients by hand (knead).
- Transfer to a floured work surface and knead.
- Take a little bit of the dough, shape it into balls, then stretch them out to form a half-moon shape.
- Arrange them in a tray lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in a well-heated oven at 180 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
- Remove the finished horseshoes from the oven.
- Immediately roll them in powdered sugar.
- Leave them to cool, then serve.
