Baklava with chokeberry - what does chokeberry baklava hide? It hides a new dimension of taste. Hedonism, enjoyment!
Baklava with aronia, ingredients:
- rind with aronia 500 g
- ground walnuts 500 g (mix finely ground with chopped walnuts for a better taste)
- raisins 100 g
- oil as needed
- chokeberry spread 400 g
Syrup:
- 3 cups of 2 dl of sugar
- 5 glasses of 2 dl of water
- juice of 1 lemon
- 2 bags of vanilla sugar
Baklava with chokeberry, preparation:
- First make the syrup and cool it well.
- Wash the raisins well and let them soak in water.
- Arrange the crusts in a greased 40 x 25 cm baking dish.
- Brush the skins that are not filleted with oil.
- Fill every second crust, i.e. spread with two tablespoons of aronia spread and sprinkle with ground walnuts.
- Add raisins to every third crust with filling.
- Each time, after filling, press the crusts well with your fingers.
- Leave the last three crusts without filling, for finishing, as the top crust.
- Cut the baklava into cubes or rhombuses and brush with water before baking.
- Bake in a heated oven at 180 degrees for 20-25 minutes, depending on the strength of the oven.
- Pour the cooled syrup over the hot baklava.
- Cover with aluminum foil and press with something so that the baklava absorbs the filling nicely.
Syrup:
- In a cooking vessel, mix water, sugar and vanilla sugar and cook for 15 minutes.
- At the end, add lemon juice.
- Cool well before pouring hot baklava.
