Quick pie with minced meat.

Quick pie with minced meat, ingredients:

  • 1 kg of puff pastry

For the filling you need:

  • 1 kg of minced meat (to taste, pork, beef, mixed...),
  • 1 stalk of leek,
  • 2 heads of onion,
  • 2 dl sour cream,
  • 2 eggs,
  • 1 tablespoon fat,
  • so,
  • pepper,
  • dry spice,
  • Cayenne pepper…

Coating:

  • 2 egg yolks.

Quick pie with minced meat, preparation:

  • Sauté finely chopped onion and leek in the melted fat until the onion becomes glassy and soft.
  • Add minced meat to it, then season to taste: salt, pepper, dry spices...
  • Fry the meat, stirring constantly, until it gets a reddish/brownish color and the excess liquid evaporates.
  • Remove from heat and let cool.
  • Add sour cream, eggs, and mix until everything is well combined.

Filling

  • Roll out the puff pastry to a thickness of 0,5 cm, then prick.
  • Grease a round pan and sprinkle with flour or simply line it with baking paper, then put the dough.
  • Pour the prepared filling onto the dough and spread it evenly.
  • Cover with the other half of the puff pastry, poke with a fork in a few places and make a circle in the middle so that steam escapes.
  • Make a braid out of the 2 remaining cubes of puff pastry and wrap around the dough along the edge of the pan.
  • Brush with beaten egg yolks. 
  • Bake in a heated oven at 200ºC for about 40 minutes, i.e. until golden brown and the edges of the dough begin to separate from the pan.
