Leaf cake flower - Milica Živković - Recipes and Cookbook online

Leaf cake flower.

Puff pastry flower, ingredients:

  • 500 g of flour,
  • 1/3 yeast,
  • 2,5 dl mixture of water and milk, half and half,
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar,
  • 1 teaspoon of salt,
  • 1 egg,
  • 50 ml of oil,
  • 50 g of melted margarine,
  • sesame and
  • linseed.

Puff pastry flower, preparation:

  • Put yeast, sugar and 1 tablespoon of flour in milk and water and leave for 10 minutes.
  • Put the flour, salt, oil, egg and added yeast in a mixing bowl and knead a smooth dough and let it rise for 30 minutes.
  • Knead the dough and divide it into 5 balls.
  • Roll each ball into a circle with a rolling pin, coat with margarine and place one on top of the other on baking paper. The latter are not coated.
  • Roll out the stacked dough with a rolling pin into a square plate.
  • In the middle, use a glass to mark a circle on all 4 sides of the dough, cut off the rows to make the dough flat.
  • From the circle, cut outwards in the middle and in the corners. At the end of the balls, cut the dough. From the cut off part, roll two pieces of dough and put them in the middle of the bread.
  • Twist the balls on one side and tuck the edges into the cut part. Transfer with paper to a pan and spread with margarine and sprinkle with sesame and flax seeds.
  • Leave to rise until the oven is hot.
  • Bake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
