Recipe for comisbrot - Dijana Popović - Recipes and Cookbook online

Comisbrot recipe.

Komisbrot, ingredients:

  • 8 egg whites
  • 200 g of powdered sugar
  • 1 bag of vanilla sugar
  • 80 g butter
  • 120 g of sharp flour
  • 1 lemon - juice and peel
  • 50 g of walnuts
  • 100 g of raisins
  • 100 g of prunes
  • 50 g of candied papaya
  • 50 g of dried figs
  • 50 g of roasted hazelnuts
  • 50 g of blanched almonds

Komisbrot, preparation:

  • Wash the lemon, grate the peel and squeeze the juice.
  • Chop the walnuts.
  • Chop the candied papaya.
  • Chop the prunes.
  • Combine walnuts, prunes, candied papaya, raisins, sprinkle with flour and mix.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat the egg whites into stiff peaks while slowly adding powdered sugar and vanilla sugar.
  • Add lemon juice and zest, gently mix in the softened butter, when the mixture is firm, mix in the dried fruit and nuts that have been mixed with the flour.
  • Pour the mixture into a square mold lined with baking paper.
  • Bake at 180 degrees for 40 minutes and another 5 minutes at 160 degrees.
  • Leave the baked commissbrot to cool in the tray, then take it out on a wire rack to cool.
  • Chilled servitrati cut into slices or cubes.
  • Serve with some white wine.

Advice:

You can add fruit to taste as well as nuts in the commissbrot, if you like only nuts, put only walnuts or hazelnuts or almonds, you don't have to follow the recipe.
