Pastry bagel.
Pastry bagel, ingredients:
Dough for scones:
- 600 g of soft flour/if necessary and a little more,
- 1 yeast,
- 2,5 dl milk,
- 2 spoons of sugar,
- 4 tablespoons of yogurt,
- 50 g of margarine,
- 1 egg,
- 1 tablespoon of salt.
For the filling:
- 125 g of margarine,
- 125 g of Swabian cheese and
- 1 egg.
To coat:
- 1 egg,
For sprinkling
- sesame.
Pretzel cakes, preparation:
- Put sugar and yeast in a container with lukewarm milk and let it start to work.
- Add yogurt, egg, margarine and salt to the added yeast, mix, then add flour and knead the cake dough. Let the dough rise for about half an hour.
- While the dough is rising, prepare the filling by mixing margarine, egg and cheese.
- Stretch the risen dough and use a glass to take out rings, which are arranged in a greased baking pan around the pan, by smearing each ring with the filling and each subsequent ring folding the previous one in half.
- The middle of the pan remains empty.
- Beat the egg and coat the scone and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees until the cake is golden brown.
Since it was Easter, I arranged painted eggs in the middle of the cake. This amount of dough makes two pretzels.
