Grandmothers walnuts.
Grandma's hazelnuts, ingredients:
For the mixture:
- 3 egg whites,
- 200 g of powdered sugar,
- 2 bags of vanilla sugar,
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice (freshly squeezed),
- 300 g of ground walnuts.
For rolling:
- 250 g of coarsely chopped walnuts.
Grandmother's walnuts, preparation:
- Beat the egg whites with a mixer.
- Add powdered sugar, vanilla sugar, lemon juice and combine with a mixer.
- Turn off the mixer, mix in the ground walnuts and mix with a spatula to combine all the ingredients.
- Take a little of the mixture and shape it into a roll.
- Roll in larger chopped walnuts, forming a crescent shape.
- Arrange in a tray lined with parchment paper.
- Preheat the oven to 220 degrees.
- Place in a baking tray and reduce the temperature to 150 degrees and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the finished walnuts from the oven, let them cool, then serve them.
Tip: according to a grandmother's recipe. They taste wonderful!
