Grilled Brussels sprouts - if you're interested in a tasty dish and you're already a cabbage lover, this is the right choice for you. The taste of grilled Brussels sprouts, with bacon, and the addition of a little sugar, will make your children happy too!
- 8 pieces of smoked bacon (thinly sliced leaves)
- 1 piece red onion (small head, finely chopped)
- 1 teaspoon sugar (or to taste)
- salt (to taste)
- pepper (to taste)
- 400 g of Brussels sprouts (cut in half)
- olive oil
- In a well-heated pan, grill the smoked bacon until it turns golden yellow. Remove from pan and place on a paper towel to drain.
- In the same heated pan, add chopped red onion and sauté in bacon fat for about 5 minutes. Add the Brussels sprouts, cut in half, and let it grill for about 5 minutes. If necessary, add a little olive oil.
- When the brussels sprouts are ready, remove them from the pan into a serving dish, season with pepper and salt, and top with pieces of chopped grilled bacon.
