Bread from Hilandar circulates in the world. According to belief, it brings happiness to the whole family where it is kneaded. This bread is kneaded only once in a lifetime and can be eaten indefinitely.

The dough is divided into four parts, keep one part for yourself and share the other three with your loved ones. Baked bread is not taken out of the house, it is only served to guests. I got the dough for this bread from my best friend from my earliest childhood. The dough must not come into contact with the iron, but is stored in a glass or porcelain container in a cool place or in the refrigerator. Baked bread is not stored in the refrigerator.

  • 500 gr. sugar
  • 0,5 dl. milk
  • 500 gr. flour
  • 250 gr. flour
  • 2,5 dl. oils
  • 3 pieces of apple (grated)
  • 0,5 bags of baking powder
  • 0,5 bags of baking soda
  • 0,5 teaspoons of cinnamon
  • 1 bag of vanilla sugar
  • 1 handful of raisins
  • 2 handfuls of walnuts (chopped)
  • 100 gr. cooking chocolates
  1. Monday: add 250g to the dough you received. do not mix sugar.
  2. Tuesday: add 2,5 dl. milk, stir.
  3. Wednesday: add 250g. flour, do not mix.
  4. Thursday: mix the dough in the morning, at noon and in the evening.
  5. Friday: add 250 g. flour, 250 g. sugar, 2,5 dl. milk, stir.
  6. Saturday: mix and divide into four parts. The three parts are placed in plastic containers with lids and distributed during Saturday and Sunday.
  7. Sunday: 250g is added to the fourth part that is kept for itself. flour, 2,5dl. oil.
  8. 3 eggs, grated apples, chocolate to taste, vanilla sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, baking powder, 2 handfuls of chopped walnuts, raisins and mix everything well. Pour the dough into a tray lined with baking paper. Bake at a temperature of 180 degrees for about 20 minutes.
