Belgrade, April 16, 2017 - The company METRO Cash & Carry Serbia supported the Junior Chef Club in the organization of another in a series of humanitarian actions, traditional Easter lunch at the "Home for Children and Youth with Disabilities in Sremčica". On this occasion, a symbolic Easter egg-beating competition was held in the courtyard of the Home, as well as various sports activities.
In addition to its regular educational and professional activities, the Junior Chef Club pays special attention to humanitarian work.
"Our chef club wants to realize its social responsibility by helping vulnerable fellow citizens." We believe that in addition to achieving great success at prestigious international culinary competitions, through these and similar actions we can contribute to improving the quality of life of people in our country," said Aleksandar Ilić, vice president of the Junior Chef Club.
As part of this action, a team of young chefs also prepared an Easter lunch, for which funds were provided by the company METRO Cash & Carry Serbia, and which, along with socializing, made this holiday even more beautiful and festive for the little ones.
METRO Cash & Carry Serbia has been supporting the Junior Chef Club in the organization of humanitarian actions for several years, in order to enable socially vulnerable children to spend their holidays more beautifully and feel the support and belonging they need.
