Cubes with poppy seeds - I highly recommend this cake for poppy lovers...
BARK:
- 150 g margarine (or butter)
- 60 g of sugar
- 250 grams of flour
- 0,5 bag of baking powder
- 1 piece of egg
PHIL:
- 4 piece of yolk
- 4 piece of egg white
- 100 g of sugar
- 150 g of ground poppy seeds
- 1 lemon (grated peel)
BARK:
- 1 piece of egg
- 2 spoons of sugar
- 2 spoons of flour
- 1/2 bag of baking powder
- 1 tablespoon of oil
- Knead the dough with margarine, sugar, pastry, egg and flour, then put the kneaded dough in an oiled pan.
- Put 4 spoons of some marmalade or jam over the stretched unbaked dough.
- And on top of the jam put a filling made of beaten eggs with sugar and added ground poppy seeds and lemon zest.
- Pour over the filling with the beaten crust of one egg with sugar, pastry, oil and flour.
- Bake the cake for 25 min. at 180 C (low heat).
