A concert by a violinist will be held in the Salon of the National Museum of Zrenjanin on Thursday, April 5, 2018, starting at 20 p.m. Ljubomir Mihailović. The concert was organized in cooperation with the Zrenjanin Cultural Center and the Zrenjanin National Museum, and the program will include cello suites (transcription for violin) by Johann Sebastian Bach.
Biography
Ljubomir Mihailović (1962) graduated in the class of professor Rajko Dojčinović at FMU. He completed his master's studies at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad in the class of professor Dejan Mihailović. He also studied in the class of Professor Igor Ozim at the Hochschule für Music in Cologne.
He started his concert career at the age of 8, when he gave his first solo concert. He received several first prizes at competitions in the country. At the international competition "Jaroslav Kocijan" in Czechoslovakia, he won the second prize. He gave numerous recitals and performed as a soloist with numerous domestic and foreign symphony orchestras (Belgrade Philharmonic, Zagreb Philharmonic, Yugoslav Army Orchestra, FMU Orchestra, RTB Symphony Orchestra, Osijek Orchestra). He was also the concertmaster of the Belgrade chamber orchestra "Simfonijeta".
From 1994 until now, he has performed as a soloist and concertmaster with the Cologne Chamber Ensemble in over 400 concerts throughout Germany, France, Switzerland and Spain. He also performed in Greece, Austria, Peru, the Soviet Union, Portugal and Israel. As a soloist with the chamber orchestra "Masters of Strings" under the direction of professor Dejan Mihailović, he recorded a compact disc "The Four Seasons" by Antonio Vivaldi, published by MDM from Cologne.
As a violin teacher, he has shown remarkable success in working with students, which is confirmed by numerous public performances and passed auditions for prestigious orchestras in the country and abroad. Other pedagogical activities of Ljubomir Mihailović are also significant, such as master classes, membership in juries at violinist competitions and more.
Ljubomir Mihailović is employed as an associate professor at the FMU in Belgrade.
