The association of Italian businessmen in Serbia, Confindustria, and the airline company Alitalia organized on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, in the "Credo" restaurant, the second themed dinner entitled "Italian cuisine among the clouds".  

The dinner, which was followed by an interesting culinary competition in the preparation of two Italian dishes, this year was dedicated to fostering and improving business cooperation between Italy and Serbia, as well as marking the 25th anniversary of the introduction of Alitalia flights on the Belgrade-Rome route.

Honorary guests of the event were H.E. Carlo Lo Casso, Ambassador of Italy in Serbia with his wife, Andrea Orizio, head of the OSCE mission in Serbia, as well as Tomaž Kavčič, one of the best chefs today. The event was attended by more than 100 distinguished guests, representatives of Serbian and Italian businesses who successfully cooperate with Confindustria and Alitalia offices in Serbia.

The meals that were served during last night's themed dinner were prepared during the culinary challenge "Italian cuisine among the clouds" in which two teams participated: the first consisting of Duško Krsmanović, founder of the company Flagship, Public Affairs & Strategic Communications and Sandra Nedeljković, deputy director of the Office for Public Management investments of the Government of the Republic of Serbia. Nataša Vulin, Managing Director of Color Press Group and Color Press Glossy, and Dejan Tonic, associate and project specialist within the program of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Council for Small Enterprises, were in the role of chefs of the second team.

Culinary skills were evaluated by the participants of last year's competition - VIP chefs: lawyer Vlatko Sekulović and Dušica Spasić, journalist and TV host Pink. The president of the jury was Aldo D'Elia, regional manager of Alitalia. At the beginning of the event, the guests were addressed by Nina Pavlova, Alitalia Area Manager Balkans countries, Patrizio dei Tos, member of the Board of Directors of Konfindustria Srbija, and Eric Kosuta, president of Konfindustria Srbija.

Duško Krsmanović and Sandra Nedeljković took the flattering title of winner of this year's "Italian Kitchen among the Clouds" competition, while members of the second team, Nataša Vulin and Dejan Tonic, were promoted to members of the jury of the next competition, which will be held in 2020 according to the tradition of Confindustria and Alitalia. The event was realized with the support of Fantinel Wine House, Mancuso Gelati and La Vigna di Sarah.

Last night's dinner and culinary competition are part of a series of events within the fourth edition of the World Italian Cuisine Week, which is being held in Serbia from November 18 to 24, organized by the Italian Embassy in Belgrade. The week of Italian cuisine in the world is held in 110 countries around the world. The initiative is promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Relations, and an important part of this year's initiative is the Venice Municipality's "Contribution for Flooded Areas" campaign, which should help this city, which has been severely damaged by large inflows of water.
