At the professional international culinary competition "Barilla International pasta & pizza championship" which was held in Bucharest on March 4 and 5, 2017, the representatives of Serbia - "HoReCa association Kragujevac", they crossed knowledge and skills with more than 200 competitors from 15 European countries, he announced Turisticsvet.com.

Two Serbian representatives at a professional competition in Romania competed with favored cooks from Italy and other Mediterranean countries and cuisines where pasta and pizza are often represented. Petar Dudaš and Milan Stevanović, led by the president of "HoReCa Association Kragujevac" Vujadin Vujadinović and professor of gastronomy Vladimir Arsenijević, won a total of 3 gold, 4 silver medals and the "Bucharest Cup" cup as absolute winners in the preparation of pasta dishes.

The categories in which our representatives competed were:

Pasta with seafood - Petar Dudaš - gold, Milan Stevanović - silver,
Pasta with meat - Milan Stevanović - gold, Petar Dudaš - gold
Pasta with cheese - Petar Dudaš - gold, Milan Stevanović - silver
The winner of the pasta preparation competition - Milan Stevanović - championship cup
Creative pizza - Milan Stevanović - gold
Pizza dessert - Petar Dudaš - silver

The president of "HoReCa Association Kragujevac" Vujadin Vujadinović said that this is an exceptional success for Serbian gastronomy, because our chefs competed in disciplines dominated by Italy and managed to become champions in preparing pasta.

- We expected that the evaluation criteria would be very high. We prepared for this competition for a long time and in great detail, and after exhaustive consultations and proposals, we managed to create a recipe that we were sure would leave a good impression on the judges, who were mostly from Italy. On this occasion, I have to give recognition to our guys who really showed how the profession and the colors of Serbia are loved and respected. Motivation, knowledge and desire for success overcame all difficulties and we managed to show once again what kind of gastronomic future we have - said Vujadinović.

Gastronomy professor Vladimir Arsenijević said that he was overjoyed with the results achieved:

- Winning the gold medal in pizza making and the championship cup in pasta making in extremely strong competition is something we should all be proud of. We are a small country, Kragujevac is a small city, but we have shown that our knowledge and creativity transcend all borders. I am overjoyed that we have such young chefs and we feel extremely motivated to continue in the winning spirit - said Arsenijević.

Chefs Petar Dudaš and Milan Stevanović stated that they were honored to represent Kragujevac and Serbia, and pointed out with a smile that every medal they win results in an even stronger motivation to continue to progress and to present Serbian and Kragujevac gastronomy in the best light in the future.
