Recipe for lahmajun.

Lahmajun, ingredients:

Ingredients for the filling:

  • 1 kg of ground lamb
  • 1 chopped carrot
  • 1 onion
  • garlic to taste 1 or 2 cloves
  • salt, half a teaspoon
  • ground Szechuan pepper half a teaspoon
  • a little smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon zaatar seasoning
  • 2 fresh red and green sweet peppers

Lahmajun, the way to prepare the filling:

  • Chop the onion and fry in oil with chopped carrots, add the meat and stew.
  • Add 200 ml of water and simmer over low heat.
  • When the water has evaporated, stir and add the spices.
  • Cool the filling.

Lahmajun, ingredients for the dough:

  • 500 g flour
  • 300 ml of lukewarm milk
  • 100 ml of oil
  • a teaspoon of sugar
  • a spoonful of salt
  • spoon of dry yeast
  • 1 egg yolk

Lahmajun, for coating:

  • 1 egg white

Sesame seeds for sprinkling.

Lahmajun, preparation:

  • In a bowl, add flour, salt, sugar, egg yolks, oil, dry yeast. Knead the dough with lukewarm milk and let it rise. Divide the resulting dough into smaller balls.
  • Roll each incoming ball into a smaller circle and prick it in several places with a fork.
  • Place the lamb filling on the entire developed circle and press it well into the dough.
  • Arrange chopped green and red peppers on top of the meat.
  • Coat the circle of dough without the filling with egg white and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  • Bake at 200 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
  • Pleasant.
