Lazy pie with apples is a traditional type of pie that is often prepared in Serbia and the region. The ingredients are readily available and cheap.

Lazy pie is most often prepared with apples, but not infrequently it is also prepared with peaches, apricots, cherries, blueberries and other fruits. Simply explained, this pie is made by sandwiching fruit between two crusts. Different variants of recipes have been created over time, and every housewife has a secret recipe for her pie.

Lazy apple pie - this is one of the cakes, which I personally really like to eat and I like even more than apple pie. It is easy to prepare and I recommend it to all new housewives to try.

Lazy pie with apples, ingredients:

Bark:

  • 2 cups flour (2dcl)
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 0,5 cups of oil
  • 1 piece of egg
  • 1 bag of baking powder

File:

  • 1,5 kg of apples (or how much you want to put)
  • 1 bag of vanilla sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 cup sugar (depends on how sour the apples are, but roughly 1 cup)

Lazy pie with apples, preparation:

  1. Peel the apples, grate them, add vanilla sugar, cinnamon and sugar and leave them aside while we prepare the crust.
  2. Place all ingredients for the crust in a deep bowl.
  3. Take a deep pan or a medium-sized pan and grease it with oil and sprinkle a little flour over it. If you take a container that is too big, it may happen that your crust is too thin.
  4. Pour half of the mixture into a baking tray and bake for about 10 minutes at 180 degrees. The dough needs to harden but not completely bake. It is important that it hardens, because the filling you add on top is heavy and the crust should absorb it, but it should not be overcooked because we are returning it to the oven.
  5. Sprinkle the grated apples with the juice they have released over the half-baked crust.
  6. Spread the rest of the crust dough over the apples.
  7. Bake for about 30 minutes at 180 degrees, until it gets a nice yellow color.
  8. When it cools down, you can sprinkle powdered sugar and serve to your guests cut into cubes.

  • 500 g of flour,
  • 250 g of margarine,
  • 12 spoons of sugar,
  • 10 spoons of sour cream
  • 1 baking powder i
  • 1 vanilla sugar.

For filling you need:

  • 1 kg of grated apples,
  • 8 spoons of sugar and
  • 2 vanilla sugar.

  • Beat margarine, add sour cream, sugar, vanilla sugar, flour and baking powder. Mix all the ingredients well.
  • Divide the dough into two parts.
  • Grease the pan, thin out the first part of the dough, then gently transfer it to the pan. Spread the apple filling on it.
  • Grate the apples, let them stand for a while, to release the water. Then, drain, add sugar and vanilla sugar, then mix everything well.
  • Cover the apples with the other thinned part of the dough.
  • Bake in a heated oven at 180 degrees until the cake is baked.
  • Check with a wooden stick or a toothpick, if the dough does not stick to the toothpick, the cake is baked.
  • When the baked pie has cooled, cut it to taste and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

You can also serve it with vanilla ice cream.

Lazy apple pie.

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 bag of vanilla sugar
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 250 g of fat
  • about 700 g of flour
  • 1 bag of baking powder

  • 6-8 large apples
  • 5-6 full spoons of sugar
  • 150 g of coarsely ground walnuts

Lazy pie with apples, preparation:

  • Knead the dough from the listed ingredients. Craft it well. It should be on the edge of soft and hard, that is, it should be so soft that you can work with it. Divide into two parts. Roll out one part and, using a rolling pin, place it in a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  • Place grated apples over the dough.
  • I don't stew apples, I don't like them so stewed.
  • Sprinkle sugar and walnuts over the apples, close the pie with another part of the dough. Pierce the top of the pie with a fork in a couple of places and put it in the oven at 200-220 degrees for about 20 minutes.
  • Cool the baked pie first, sprinkle with powdered sugar and vanilla sugar.

  • 2-3 spoons of sugar

  • 3 spoons of wheat semolina
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon

  • Beat egg and yolk with sugar, then add fat and cream.
  • Then slowly add flour and baking powder and knead a smooth dough.
  • Put it in the fridge for an hour.
  • Clean, peel, measure and grate apples and quinces.
  • Simmer with sugar to evaporate the liquid. Remove from the stove, add vanilla sugar, semolina and cinnamon.
  • Divide the dough into two parts. Put baking paper in the tray, then spread one part of the dough. Spread the filling over it. Put the second part of the dough on top, poke it with a fork in several places.
  • Bake for about half an hour in an oven heated to 180 C. Cool, cut, sprinkle with powdered sugar and enjoy the taste.

Lazy pie - almost everyone prepares lazy pie in the same way, but everyone has their own secret, right ;)?! I do not hide my culinary secrets - I am happy to share them with my readers. Well, here's how I prepare it.

Lazy pie, ingredients:

  • 400 g flour
  • 120 g of sugar
  • 20 g of vanilla sugar
  • 1 piece of egg
  • 180 g butter ((maybe 200 g, I had that much))
  • 0,5 teaspoons of cinnamon
  • 0,5 teaspoons of grated lemon peel
  • 3 spoons of milk

Ingredients for the filling:

  • 1 kg of peeled apples ((green, red, yellow))
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of breadcrumbs

Ingredients for sprinkling:

  • 1 spoons of powdered sugar
  • 0,5 teaspoons of cinnamon

Lazy pie, preparation:

  1. To prepare the dough, mix: flour, sugar, vanilla sugar, cinnamon and lemon peel, then make a well. Melt the butter - stir it while melting - it should be soft, but not completely liquid. Pour it into the cavity, add an egg and 2-3 tablespoons of milk. Knead a smooth dough, wrap it in a bag and let it rest in the fridge for about half an hour.
  2. While the dough is resting, prepare the filling: grate the apples, and if they are too juicy, drain them slightly, add sugar and sauté them briefly in a wide pan, for about five minutes. Add the breadcrumbs and mix.
  3. While the filling is cooling, roll out the dough. Divide it into two parts and develop rectangles measuring 20*30 cm. Line a tray of those dimensions with baking paper and place one crust, spread the filling over it, then cover with another crust.
  4. Bake in a heated oven at 150 degrees for 40 minutes. (5 minutes before the end, increase the temperature to 170 degrees.
  5. When the pie has cooled, cut it into the desired pieces and sprinkle with a mixture of powdered sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Check the pie during baking, so you don't overcook it like I did ;):
  7. Nothing new from me. I don't respect the old folk saying: cooks say less so your lunch doesn't burn ;).
  8. The pie is better when it sits for a day or two. Of course, you need to keep it in a closed container or pack it in a bag.
