Luft Pie – sweet perfection!
Luft Pie, Ingredients:
- 250 g thin pie crusts
- 3 egg whites
- 4 spoons of sugar
for the dressing:
- 1 liter of milk
- 3 egg yolks
- 6 spoon of sugar
- 20 g of vanilla sugar
- 1 tablespoon flour
- oil for frying
Approximate preparation time 40 minutes.
Luft asks, prepares:
- separate the whites from the yolks
- beat the egg whites with 4 tablespoons of sugar
- coat each crust evenly with beaten egg whites
- roll the coated crusts together and cut across to a thickness of 1,5 cm
- heat the oil in a pan
- fry the rolls on both sides until golden brown
- Place the fried rolls on a paper towel to absorb excess fat
- pour 0,8 l of milk into the pot
- in a separate bowl, combine egg yolks, vanilla sugar, flour and milk
- add 6 spoons of sugar to the milk in the pot and let it boil
- when the milk boils, boil the porridge
- cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly
- pour the porridge over the fried rolls
- leave everything to cool at room temperature
- then leave it in the fridge overnight
