Ingredients

  • Cake:
  • 2 cups 400-grade flour
  • 3/4 cup of quality cocoa powder without sugar
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 1 kg of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups of baking soda
  • 2 kg of baking powder
  • 1 cup of nescafe
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 2 cups of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • GLAZING:
  • 340 g of chocolate with 70% cocoa
  • 220 g of unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 kg of salt
  • 1/4 cup whipped cream

Preparation

Step 1

CAKE: Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C. Grease 2 22 cm molds with butter and sprinkle them with a little flour. Put the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, baking soda, baking powder and nescafe powder in a large bowl and mix well. Add milk, oil, pre-beaten eggs, vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and beat with a mixer on medium speed until all ingredients are combined. Reduce speed to low and carefully add boiling water. Then increase the speed of the mixer to the highest and beat for about a minute to introduce air into the mixture. Divide the mixture into molds and bake in a preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the middle of the cake comes out dry. When you take the cakes out of the oven, let them cool for 10 minutes, remove them from the tins and allow them to cool to room temperature. Spread the frosting on the top of one cake and place the second crust on top, then spread the rest of the frosting over the entire cake.

Step 2

GLAZING: Melt the chocolate and butter in a steamer. In a separate bowl, mix the cocoa powder, salt and powdered sugar. Slowly add melted chocolate with butter and pre-whipped sweet cream to the dry ingredients and beat at maximum speed for about 2 minutes. You can make the glaze up to 2 days in advance, storing it in a closed container in the refrigerator. When you need it, beat it at room temperature for about 2 minutes.
