Let the salčić smell, Serbian croissants! - TESTIVAL #4 - photo by Željko Blagojević

Fourth in a row TEST, will be held in Belgrade Youth Center on Saturday and Sunday March 05 and 06, from 10 a.m. to 20 p.m. Let the salcici smell!

It will be the first time that the TESTIVAL is held in the Youth Center of Belgrade. During the two TESTING days, visitors will be able to see the offer at discount prices from over 40 exhibitors and be present at a large number of workshops with tastings! Salčići is the basic theme of the TESTIVALA 2022 workshop #4.

The official program of TESTIVALA #4 begins with the opening ceremony on Saturday 05.03. at 11 a.m., when the TESTIVAL organizers and representatives of the TESTIVAL Council will address the attendees and the media.

All TESTIVALS so far have had their stars, and the fourth one in a row is attended by famous professionals, producers, and great lovers of a good bite and a good drop. On the stage of the Belgrade Youth Center, visitors will be able to see well-known culinary TV personalities and certainly learn a lot, with a free tasting of various delicacies at the end of each workshop. Because TESTIVAL is a place where families come. A place where you can see something beautiful, learn, and by God, eat...

Katarina Petrović (Kaja Gastronomad), will have his culinary show on both days of the TESTIVAL where, with the help of  Uroš Bogdanović, to prepare a traditional Serbian recipe - salčiće - which are also known as "Serbian croissants". She is a well-known TV personality - in 2018, she recorded her first cooking show "Katarina's Spells" on KitchenTV, which became very popular, and during her career, she also worked as a presenter, journalist and reporter. She is currently engaged in filming the show Gastronomad, which is broadcast on RTS 1, and which is a very popular culinary TV program.

The host of all workshops will be Uroš Bogdanović, media expert and consultant.

The exhibitors, as in the previous three TESTIVALS, are unique and very interesting. At the sales exhibition, it will be possible to buy them at discount prices various diakonies, starting with homemade bread with homemade yeast, homemade rolls, homemade cakes, homemade pasta made from organic flour, and then through healthy, special spreads, such as pumpkin and chokeberry spreads, and homemade spreads made of plums, jams and jams without sugar, smoked artisanal cheese, various homemade strudels, homemade cold-pressed juices, and homemade ajvar. And for all "butchers" there will be one smoked diaconia: sausage, kulen, bacon... That being said: something for everyone...

If you didn't believe that the best traditional cakes can be made with aronia filling, TESTIVAL is here to convince you! The best lazy pie and the best chokeberry baklava, will prepare for all those present Nemanja Kosmajac, pastry chef with 17 years of experience. Nemanja is the owner of Dolci Veloci doo, which supplies restaurants and cafes with cakes, and will use aronia fillings, grown and prepared by Hoff doo.

And this TESTIVAL will be a place where culinary professionals, hedonists and scientists will discuss the intangible cultural heritage of the Republic of Serbia. Members of the TESTIVAL Council, Prof. Dr. Slađana Šobajić, from the Faculty of Pharmacy in Belgrade and Dr. Biljana Đorđević, museum advisor of the National Museum in Belgrade, Dragana Popov, subject professor of culinary arts from the Hospitality School in Belgrade and Danijela Petrović from Rujište, municipality of Ražanj, will discuss the topic: "Nutrition culture in Serbia throughout history", at 16:05.03.2022 Saturday XNUMX. Discussion panel with the topic "Traditional sweets in Serbia", is planned for Sunday 06.03.2022/16/XNUMX. at XNUMX p.m., and the participants are MSc Tamara Ognjević, director of the Artis Center, master of art history, Dragan Djordjevic, president of the Association of Authentic Hedonists and Miodrag Ilić, founder of Testival and author of the book Traditional recipes of Serbian domestic cuisine.

Finally, let us emphasize, and it will happen at the very beginning of the first day at 11.15:XNUMX a.m., it will be announced the best recipe for salčići, which was collected by the site during 2021 Recipes and Cookbook online.
