Jovan Tomović continues to achieve lower levels of success
Belgrade, May 23, 2016 - After the exceptional success at the competition in Romania, at the recently held international culinary competition, "Balkan Culinary Cup" in Bulgaria, young cook from Serbia, Jovan Tomović continues to achieve excellent results. Jovan won two gold medals and a cup, while his schoolmate Uroš Bolić won one gold medal.
The talented cook, who has been winning awards at world competitions for years, won first place in Bulgaria in the category of four different egg dishes for two people and another gold medal and cup, as the best in the "black box" category. and the young chef Uroš Bolić won a gold medal in the same category.
In the "black box" category, the contestants had the task of preparing a dish from unknown ingredients, with the possibility of adding two traditional or authentic ingredients from the country they come from. These young culinary students are final year students of the High Hospitality and Tourism School from Belgrade, who do their professional practice at the METRO Horeca Center, where they prepared for this competition.
The manager of METRO Horeca Center, Uroš Urošević, who is also their mentor, participated in this festival as a member of the jury.
More than 200 competitors from over 15 countries participated in this competition, such as Japan, South Korea, Ukraine, Turkey, Greece, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia and others.
