The Swiss believe in the future of Belgrade
For Belgrade, October is a special month, full of events and liveliness. This year, the beginning of the month was also marked by the opening of another hotel that made Belgrade's tourist offer richer - the Holiday Inn Express Belgrade - City was opened.
"Holiday Inn Express Belgrade - City" is the first Swiss investment in this area in our country. The hotel at Rooseveltova 23 is part of IHG - Inter Continental Hotels Group, has three stars, 123 rooms and employs 22 people from Serbia, and is intended primarily for business people and family trips.
The grand opening was attended by René de Picciotto, co-owner of the hotel, who welcomed the guests by cutting the ribbon, and Jean-Daniel Ruch, Ambassador of Switzerland. The ambassador pointed out that with the opening of this facility, Belgrade's offer of quality accommodation in the middle category of hotels has been significantly enriched, and these advantages will be felt equally by business people and tourists.
- I congratulate the owners for their investment and perseverance to realize this important project. This is a sign of confidence in the future of Belgrade as a tourist and business destination and represents the constant interest of Swiss companies in investing in Serbia. In the last few years, Swiss companies have always been among the top three when it comes to foreign investments in Serbia. I am convinced that this trend will continue in the future, building strong mutual ties between Serbian and Swiss society," said the Swiss ambassador.
"Holiday Inn Express Belgrade - City" brings something new to the Belgrade hotel offer with its Express service concept. The hotel has 123 rooms, and guests have free Wi-Fi throughout the property, as well as free international calls to fixed networks. All rooms are air-conditioned, equipped with flat-screen TVs with international channels and Air Play, service set for tea and coffee, as well as a safe for personal belongings.
It is an excellent choice for business trips, because in addition to the mentioned benefits in the form of free Wi-Fi and international calls, it also has a garage, a bed and breakfast concept, as well as three multifunctional meeting rooms with natural light and complete audio equipment, which can be combine into one large room with a total area of 97 square meters. Meetings and events with up to 70 participants can be organized in the halls, and the hotel team is available to help guests with the organization.
The "Holiday Inn Express Belgrade - City" hotel is also suitable for family trips, because it has so-called twin rooms - connected rooms for two to four people.
The hotel also has a "Roosevelt" bar, which is a good choice for a snack, coffee or other drink, throughout the day.

Our "mantra" is to offer guests "everything they need and nothing they don't". That is actually the focus of the brand. Therefore, we do not have such a wide range of services as some luxury hotels, but we provide our guests with the best possible experience," said Olivier C.
