Pizza buns - a slightly different pastry for pizza lovers.

  • 500 g flour
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 100 g Trappist (grated)
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 15 g of yeast
  • 3 dl milk (lukewarm)
  • 100 g butter (melted)

for coating and sprinkling:

  • 1 piece of egg
  • 2 tablespoons of ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon of oregano
  1. Mix the yeast with sugar in a little milk, add a spoonful of flour, and more milk if necessary, mix all the ingredients well and leave in a warm place for the yeast to grow.
  2. In the bowl for mixing the dough, combine the dry ingredients - flour, salt, grated Trappist and make a well in the middle.
  3. Pour the yeast, melted butter and the rest of the lukewarm milk into the cavity. Knead a smooth dough and leave it for about 20 minutes in a warm place.
  4. Make 20 balls, arrange them in a tray, cut them in several places (optional) and leave them in a warm place to rise.
  5. Beat the egg and ketchup, coat the buns and sprinkle them with oregano.
  6. Bake until golden brown at 200 degrees, about 15 minutes.
  7. You can make sandwiches out of these buns or eat them with anything you want.
