Pizza buns - Kristina Gašpar - Recipes and Cookbook online
Pizza buns - a slightly different pastry for pizza lovers.
- 500 g flour
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 100 g Trappist (grated)
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 15 g of yeast
- 3 dl milk (lukewarm)
- 100 g butter (melted)
for coating and sprinkling:
- 1 piece of egg
- 2 tablespoons of ketchup
- 1 teaspoon of oregano
- Mix the yeast with sugar in a little milk, add a spoonful of flour, and more milk if necessary, mix all the ingredients well and leave in a warm place for the yeast to grow.
- In the bowl for mixing the dough, combine the dry ingredients - flour, salt, grated Trappist and make a well in the middle.
- Pour the yeast, melted butter and the rest of the lukewarm milk into the cavity. Knead a smooth dough and leave it for about 20 minutes in a warm place.
- Make 20 balls, arrange them in a tray, cut them in several places (optional) and leave them in a warm place to rise.
- Beat the egg and ketchup, coat the buns and sprinkle them with oregano.
- Bake until golden brown at 200 degrees, about 15 minutes.
- You can make sandwiches out of these buns or eat them with anything you want.
