Lean roll pie with pumpkin and ground walnuts.

Lean roll pie with pumpkin and ground walnuts, ingredients:

  • 500 g of finished crusts
  • 600 g of grated pumpkin
  • 250-300 g of sugar
  • 3 bags of vanilla sugar
  • a little cinnamon to taste
  • 80-100 ml of oil
  • 200 g of ground walnuts

Lean roll pie with pumpkin and ground walnuts, preparation of the filling:

  • Peel, wash and grate the pumpkin.
  • Add grated pumpkin, sugar (adjust the amount of sugar to taste), vanilla sugar and cinnamon (if you like, adjust the amount) to the heated oil.
  • Mix and fry at a moderate temperature for about 10 minutes.
  • Put aside.

Lean roll pie with pumpkin and ground walnuts, roll filling:

  • Divide the crusts into two parts, i.e. 8 crusts per roll. You get two rolls.
  • Coat only the first crust with a little oil. Do not spread oil or filling on the third, fifth and seventh crust - just put them on.
  • Spread the second, fourth, sixth and eighth crust liberally with pumpkin filling and sprinkle with 3-4 spoons of ground walnuts.
  • Repeat the process with the other crusts. Make two rolls.
  • Wrap in rolls. Place in a tray on baking paper. Coat with a little oil and bake at 200 C for about 30 minutes.
  • Cut the cooled rolls into pieces and sprinkle with powdered sugar to taste and enjoy the taste of an excellent delicacy!

Tip: The filling is juicy and the crusts that are not smeared with either filling or oil absorb well, so they don't remain dry... As you can see in the pictures! The roll is according to my mom's recipe, she always makes bundevara or pumpkin!
