On Tuesday, November 15 at Metropolis Music House album promotion was held "Do you really wanna play?" Schime Trio, edition Metropolis Music.
They spoke at the promotion Vojislav Pantić, editor of the jazz label Metropolis Music, Luka Ignjatović- saxophonist i Predrag Milutinovic-drummer, band members Schime Trio. The album "Do you really wanna play" by Schime Trio is the first release under the newly established jazz label Metropolis Music. Releases by the bands Konzilium and Fish in Oil are expected soon under the same label. The promotion was attended by, among others, David Vartabedijan, Vlada Dzet, Olga Kepčija, Dušan Petrović, Aleksandar Karadžić, Ivana Pataković...
Schime Trio is a band that plays original music by saxophonist Luka Ignjatović. It consists of double bass players Boris Sainovic, a drummer Predrag Milutinovic and a saxophonist Luka Ignjatović.
Luka Ignjatović graduated from "Stanković" Elementary School and then studied at the jazz department of the conservatory in Amsterdam, where he obtained a master's degree in music. He was a part-time member of the RTS Big Band, as well as the only Serbian musician in the European Saxophone Ensemble, with whom he performed throughout Europe. Today, he is a professor of jazz saxophone at the Department of Jazz and Popular Music at the FMU in Belgrade.
Boris Šainović, another in a series of talented double bassists who have emerged in "MŠ Stanković", this fall began his studies at the jazz department of FMU.
Predrag Milutinović is one of the busiest drummers of our younger generation. He collaborated with Ignjatović in the Qzama Quartet, is a member of Vasil Hadžiman's band, Max Kochetov's quartet, as well as the Aveni trio with the American saxophonist David Binney.
The recent performance of the Schime trio with guest Savo Miletić at the Belgrade Jazz Festival received great reviews from the critics of the famous magazine Downbeat Magazine.
In November 2016 Schime Trio releases an album "Do you really wanna play" for a jazz label Metropolis Music.
The concert promotion of the album will be held on Thursday, November 24 at the Metropolis Music House starting at 21 p.m.
