Stuffed Buns - Vesna Pavlović - Recipes and Cookbook online

Stuffed buns.

Stuffed buns, ingredients:

For the dough:

  • 50 ml water,
  • 10 g of fresh yeast,
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar,
  • 1 teaspoon of salt,
  • 1 bag of baking powder,
  • 180 g of yogurt,
  • 400 g of flour.

To coat:

  • 100 g of margarine.

For the filling:

  • 200 g of cheese.

For frying:

  • oil if necessary.

Stuffed buns, preparation:

For the dough:

  • Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water, add sugar, 1 tablespoon of flour, mix and leave to stand for 10 minutes.
  • Pour flour into a deep bowl, add yeast, yogurt, salt, mix in baking powder and knead a medium-hard dough. Cover with a clean kitchen towel and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  • After that, knead the dough on a floured work surface and use a rolling pin to roll it into a rectangle.
  • Spread with margarine (which has softened at room temperature) and roll up. Cut into 6 parts. Knead each part and develop it into a smaller rectangle. Apply cheese on each rectangle of dough - half way, fold over the part where there is no cheese and spread it "slightly" with a rolling pin (do not press hard).
  • Fry in hot oil until golden brown on both sides.
  • Place on kitchen paper to drain excess fat.
  • Serve and serve.

Tip: keep the yogurt at room temperature for at least half an hour before use, never use it cold (from the fridge). This is a suggestion for a tasty and quick breakfast. Pleasant!
