Stuffed oranges.

Stuffed oranges, ingredients:

  • 4 oranges
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 dl of milk
  • 4 tablespoons of flour
  • 3 tbsp sugar + 3 tbsp sugar
  • 100 g breadcrumbs or ground biscuits
  • 1 vanilla sugar

Stuffed oranges, preparation:

  • Cut off the top of the orange and gently remove the pulp with a teaspoon, but be careful not to damage or puncture the peel.
  • Mash the removed pulp and save the resulting juice. The rest of the orange is not needed.
  • Pour the juice into a small saucepan and heat.
  • In a bowl, mix: milk, egg yolk, sugar, flour and vanilla sugar, beat to a smooth mass and pour in a slow stream into the hot juice, stirring constantly.
  • When the cream thickens, add breadcrumbs or biscuits and mix.
  • Whip the egg whites - add sugar spoon by spoon, until a firm batter is obtained. Leave 3 tablespoons of shama.
  • Add the cream to the cream and mix gently.
  • Fill hollowed out oranges with this stuffing and bake in the oven for 20 minutes at 180°C.
  • Finally, add a spoonful of shama to the baked dessert as a decoration.
  • The dessert can be served warm or cold.
